Summary of charges

When you book our service you will be required to pay a deposit of £599.

This charge covers the cost of the DVSA IVA test of £450 and the four hours of labour required to take the car to the test centre, oversee the test and return the car to Kit Car Approvals. For an additional £99.00 we can conduct an emissions test, a brake test on an MOT spec brake tester and correctly set up the wheel alignment.

Additional labour charges

We charge £50 an hour in half hour increments for any additional work that we need to carry out to your car. Wherever possible, we will contact you prior to any work commenced so that you have the choice to either let us do the work or take the car away to have the work done either by yourself or a third party.

Larger projects

From major finishing to complete build

It we build a vehicle from a set of build-ready components to a finished road going vehicle we charge from £5000. This equates to 100 hours at £50 per hour and varies according to specification and finish

Cars come to us for their IVA test in various states of build. Some have changed hands several times before they are eventually part built and the quality of some builds means that we have to effectively start from scratch and completely rebuild  these cars. We assess larger projects on a car by car basis and estimate as accurately as possible, the overall costs involved, with frequent communication during the build process to ensure that work is being carried out in accordance  with the owners wishes.
